Some years out of date now, but still a useful source of information about Arran's excellent produce. Looking for self catering on the island? The Coastal Way of the Isle of Arran provides both low level walks and continuous walking around the coast of Arran. Walkers can now use a route around Arran's coastline in all weather conditions, that passes through most of the villages on the island. An exciting new gallery exhibiting works of contemporary Scottish (many from Arran) artists. A wonderful addition to the delights of Whiting Bay. After last year's successful festival, the organisers are pleased to announce that in 2008 the festival will run from 14 to 21 May. The whisky distillery at Lochranza provides a fascinating tour, tastings, video about Arran Nestled below the high mountains in Lochranza bay, Arran Distillery produces a delightful range of whiskies without the use of peat in the process or caramel for artificial colouring - thus ensuring the products are true to the character of the Island and as such are 'the true spirit of nature'. A very attractive visitor centre has added to the island's amenities. Bath and
body works, pure soaps, scented candles. Aromatherapy toiletries and candles are produced at Duchess Court, and there is a factory shop. A new site dedicated to the promotion of Arran as a destination.
